Barbara Lemaire, Ph.D., moved to Albuquerque four years ago from San Diego, CA, specifically to work in the non-profit sector. After more than 20 years in marketing, publishing, strategic planning, sales, organizational management, project management and business coaching she knew she could make a difference in any organization.
She has dedicated her life to self-actualization, peak-performance and being of service to the greater good and is passionate about serving her community. She is a member of the Albuquerque Junior League and the Association of Fundraising Professionals and served on the Board of Trustees for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, New Mexico / El Paso Chapter and the International Coaches Association. Barbara serves as the Assistant Chairperson of the Professional Coaching & Human Development Department at the International University of Professional Studies and co-founded Strategic Networking — a business networking forum. Finally she is the publisher/editor of the 2008 Comprehensive Non-Profit Directory of Albuquerque.
Her biggest personal challenge was walking 26.2 miles in the Honolulu Marathon with “Team in Training” for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Having said that, it should come as no surprise that Barbara’s favorite quote is: “A journey of a thousand miles starts under one’s feet” Lao Tzu
